Project Description:

The Mission Statement of Contruction Junction is "to support and promote conservation through the reuse of building materials." As they strive to better the environment by recycling building materials, they wanted to be sure that their new building renovations were also green. This project is currently in the schematic phase and includes the design of energy efficient lighting and controls and a roof mounted photovoltaic system. The PV system is currently sized to provide a net zero power footprint for the facility. Additionally, the design utilizes solar thermal, earth tubes, cogeneration, and other progressive sustainable technolgoies to attempt a net positive energy footprint.
